Mahmoud Al-Sarkhi Life story
Sayyid Mahmoud al-Hassani al-Sarkhi is an Iraqi Twelver Shia Marja'. He has studied in seminaries of Najaf, Iraq under Grand Ayatollah Mohammad Mohammad Sadeq al-Sadr and Ali al-Sistani. In 2014, supporters of al-Sarkhi engaged in deadly firefights with Iraqi security forces.
