As America pauses to honour Dr Martin Luther King, Jr's legacy, experts say his fight against poverty and inequality is still just as relevant today as it was during The US civil rights movement.

In 1944, Martin Luther King, Jr was at The Age Of 15. Generations of The King family had graduated from The prestigious all-male historically black college in Atlanta, Georgia .

He was arrested in October 1960 after a sit-in at a Department Store in Atlanta and was held in Georgia State Prison.
