M. R. Jayakar Life story
Mukund Ramrao Jayakar was the first Vice-Chancellor of the University of Poona. Jayakar was born in a Marathi Pathare Prabhu family. Jayakar studied LL. B. in Bombay in 1902 and became a barrister in 1905 at London. In 1905 he was enrolled as advocate of the Bombay High Court.
