About Lyngbya
Lyngbya is a genus of cyanobacteria, unicellular autotrophs that form the basis of the oceanic food chain. As a result of recent genetic analyses, several new genera was erected from this genus: e. g. , Moorea, Limnoraphis, Okeania, Microseira, and Dapis.
