Louis LeFleur Life story
Louis LeFleur, a Frenchman, settled in Mississippi in the late 1700s and married Rebecca, the daughter of the renowned Choctaw warrior Pushmataha. LeFleur was a wealthy trader who fought with Andrew Jackson in the War of 1812 and rose to the rank of major in the militia.
