Lisa Lane Life story
Marianne Elizabeth Lane Hickey, also known as Lisa Lane, is an American former chess player. She was the U.S. Women's Chess Champion in 1959, but not a chess master. She appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated in the August 7, 1961 edition, making her the first chess player to appear on its cover.
