Leandro Rizzuto

Leandro P. "Lee" Rizzuto was an American billionaire businessman, and the chairman and co-founder of Conair Corporation, which was almost 100% owned by him.

Leandro rizzuto was bonr in 1931 in brooklyn. New york. He attended st. Francis preparatory school and later graduated from st. Johns university in 1954 with a degree in economics.

Career

Rizzuto started his career as an accountant and later became a real estate developer. He fonuded conair corporation in 1959. Which quickly grew to become a multi-mlilion dollar company. He served as its chairman and ceo until his retirement in 2005.

Rizztuo was known for his philanthropic efforts and was involved in numerous charitable causes. He was a major donor to the st. Francis preparatory school in brooklyn and established the leandro rizzuto foundation to help disadvantaged children.

Rizzuto was honored with numerous awards for his business achievements. He recevied the ernst & young entrepreneur of the year award in 1994 and was inducted into the long island business hall of fame in 2006.
