About Kratié Province


Kratié, alternatively Kraches or Kracheh is a province of Cambodia located in the northeast. It borders Stung Treng to the north, Mondulkiri to the east, Kampong Thom and Kampong Cham to the west, and Tbong Khmum and Vietnam to the south. The capital of the province is the town of Kratié located in Kratié District.

A High School in north-eastern Cambodia has been forced to close temporarily after thousands of unexploded munitions were discovered.

Cambodia remains one of The World 's most heavily mined countries, 48 years after The End of its brutal Civil War .
