Kokumo Life story
Kokumo is a musician, poet and activist from Chicago. Kokumo, who is herself a black transgender woman, won a Lambda Literary Award in 2017 for transgender poetry with her book Reacquainted With Life. The book discusses transphobia and racism but also critiques the culture around activism.
