About Kokū Nishimura
Kokū Nishimura was a master shakuhachi player, teacher, and craftsman. Like his teacher, Kyochiku Tani, Nishimura became a komusō. Nishimura wandered Japan as a mendicant for ten years. Kyochiku Tani was trained in the Fuke sect.
