Katherine Lowther Life story
Katherine was the daughter of Robert Lowther and Katherine Pennington. She was engaged to James Wolfe, the commander of the British forces that took Quebec in 1759; however, he died of the wounds he received in the Battle of the Plains of Abraham. She married widower Harry Powlett, 6th Duke of Bolton, on April 8, 1765.
