Kale Brecht is the main protagonist of Disturbia. He is a 17-year-old teenager, the son of Daniel and Julie Brecht, Ashley's boyfriend, Ronnie's best friend, Robert Turner's enemy / neighbor and he is portrayed by Shia LaBeouf. LaBeouf also won a Teen Choice Award for his performance as Kale.
