Joyce Fairbairn Life story
Joyce Fairbairn, PC CM was a Canadian senator and was the first woman to serve as Leader of the Government in the Senate. Fairbairn worked as a journalist in the Parliamentary Press Gallery in Ottawa before being hired as a legislative assistant to Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau in 1970.
