Joseph Oliver Life story
Joseph Oliver was Mayor of Toronto from 1908 to 1909. Born in Erin, Ontario, Oliver lived in Toronto since he was three years old. He worked in the lumber business. He was elected to the School Board in 1885 and to the Toronto City Council in 1895,1901, 1902,1903 and 1906. He was elected mayor in 1908 and 1909.
