Artist biography John Blunt. Keith Moon-influenced drummer John Blunt was born as John David Blunt in Croydon, Surrey on 20 March 1947. John Blunt joined English beat group The Searchers in 1966, following the departure of Original drummer Chris Curtis. John was replaced by Billy Adamson in 1969.
