John Bloomfield Gough Life story
Sir John Bloomfield Gough was born on 24 June 1804. The son of the Very Reverend Thomas Bunbury Gough and Charlotte Bloomfield. He was a nephew of Field Marshal Lord Gough. He attended the Royal Military College and was commissioned in 1820, reaching the rank of Captain in the 3rd Light Dragoons.
