John Alexander Hopps Life story
John Alexander Hopps, OC was a co-developer of both the first artificial pacemaker and the first combined pacemaker-defibrillator, and was the founder of the Canadian Medical and Biological Engineering Society. He has been called the "Father of biomedical engineering in Canada."
