Johann VII, Count Of Nassau-Siegen (Johann VII.) Life story
Count John VII of Nassau-Siegen was Count of Nassau in Siegen. He was the second son of Count John VI of Nassau-Dillenburg and his wife Elisabeth of Leuchtenberg. Johann VII founded a military college in the town of Siegen, "expressly to produce an officer corps for Calvinism".
