Joaquim José Insley Pacheco Life story
Joaquim José Pacheco was a photographer, painter and designer. At the end of the 1840s , in Fortaleza, he learns daguerreotype and starts working as a portraitist. Pacheco travels to New York, probably between 1849 and 1851, becomes apprentice to Mathew Brady ( ca. 1823-1896 ) and assistant to daguerreotypists H. E.
