About Japanese Weasel
The Japanese weasel is a carnivorous mammal belonging to the genus Mustela in the family Mustelidae. The closest phylogenetically Mustela species is the Siberian weasel. Its taxonomic species name, itatsi, is a corruption of the Japanese word for weasel, itachi.
