Jan Abrahamsz Beerstraaten or Johannes was a Dutch painter of marine art, particularly of events of the First Anglo-Dutch War and Dutch-Swedish War. Van Beerstraten depicted ports and cityscapes of Amsterdam, as well as many cities and villages in the Netherlands.
