James E. Cobb Life story
James Edward Cobb was a U.S. Representative from Alabama. Born in Thomaston, Georgia, Cobb attended the public schools and graduated from Emory College in Oxford, Georgia in June 1856, where he studied law. He was admitted to the bar and practiced law. He moved to Texas in 1857.
