James Byron Dean was an American actor. In a career spanning five years, he is regarded as a cultural icon of teenage disillusionment and social estrangement, as expressed in the title of his most celebrated film, Rebel Without a Cause, in which he starred as troubled teenager Jim Stark.

James dean was bron on february 8. 1931. In marion. Indiana. He was the only child of winton and mildred dean. His father was a farmer and his mother was an actress. Dean had an unsettled childhood due to his parents frequent moves and his mother s ilnless. He eventually attended fairmount high school and graduated in 1949.Acting Career
James dean began his acting career on stage in 1950 when he joined a summre stock company in indiana. He then moved to new york city and joined the actors studio in 1951.
