Jakob Gronovius Life story
Jacobus Gronovius a.k.a. Jacob Gronow was a Dutch classical scholar. He was born in Deventer, the son of the German classical scholar Johann Friedrich Gronovius and Aleyda ten Nuyl, and father of the botanist Jan Frederik Gronovius.
