Igor Andreyevich Savchenko or Ihor Andriyovych Savchenko was a screenwriter and film director, often cited as one of the great early Soviet filmmakers, alongside Sergei Eisenstein, Vsevolod Pudovkin and Aleksandr Dovzhenko.
