Ida Alice Shourds married Henry Morrison Flagler, as his second wife, in 1883 (they were divorced August 14, 1901). Henry Morrison Flagler was a founder of Standard Oil. He was also a pivotal figure in the development of the Atlantic coast of Florida and founder of what became the Florida East Coast Railway.
