About Ice Palace
The Ice Palace is a 1987 Norwegian drama film directed by Per Blom based on the novel of the same name. The film was selected as the Norwegian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 61st Academy Awards, but was not accepted as a nominee.

Flaming ice cream castles in the Chinese Harbin Ice Festival
The Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival in China, held its opening ceremony on Sunday, may 5. May. January, in the middle of the fire works and celebrations.
The annual festival, China, north-east in the province of Heilongjiang is one of the largest ice and snow festivals in The World .
Approximately 220,000 cubic metres of snow and ice were allegedly used, to the ice world.
visitors were treated to a giant Ice Palace .
There was even an ice-steam train.
The 36. Harbin ice Festival began in 1963 and was interrupted for a couple of years due to the re-recording again in 1985.
as well as the towering ice structures, The Festival also includes activities such as sledding, Ice Hockey , ice football, Speed Skating and Alpine Skiing competitions.
There are also swimming competitions in the frozen water. The participants can be seen below, in the Songhua River .
A highlight of The Festival , a snow-themed group wedding. About 40 pairs were reported to have married in this year.
Harbin ice Festival runs until the 25. February 2020.
