Hugh Cairns, Viscount Garmoyle Life story
Hugh Wilfred John Cairns was born on 9th June 1907 at Bradford Abbas, Sherborne, Dorset, England. He was the older son of Lord Wilfrid Cairns, 4th Earl Cairns and Countess Olive Cairns nee Cobbold. He was known as Viscount Garmoyle. He married Barbara Mary Elisabeth Franklyn in May 1936 at Droxford, Hampshire.
