About Hugh Armitage
Hugh Armitage (played by Josh Whitehouse) was introduced in season three of Poldark after he was rescued from a French prison by Ross Poldark (Aidan Turner). The plan had initially been to save Captain Henshawe (John Hollingworth) but it failed after he was shot dead during his escape.
