Hugh Annesley Life story


Sir Hugh Norman Annesley, QPM is a retired Irish/British police officer. He served as Chief Constable of the Royal Ulster Constabulary from June 1989 to November 1996. Annesley was born in Dublin and educated at St Andrew's Preparatory School and the Avoca School for Boys in Blackrock.

operation Kenova was under the direction of Jon Boutcher, who was, until recently, chief constable of Bedfordshire.

A statement said: "Jon Boutcher, The Head of the Operation, Kenova, and his team has prepared, for the files, The Evidence for A Number of offences in The Investigation of the" terms of reference - including murder, kidnapping, torture, incompetence in public office and pervert the course of justice.

"These files are now in The Process of be Made available to The Public Prosecutor's office for review.

"It would not be appropriate to have more detail to go in terms of The Evidence , or The Number of persons involved, until the examination has taken place.

"A full report on the operation of Kenova findings are published, the completion of all legal procedures. "
