About Hogonzi
Hōgon-ji is a Buddhist temple of the Ji sect in Matsuyama, Ehime, Japan. It is famed as the birthplace of the Buddhist sage Ippen, who founded the Ji sect as an offshoot of the Jōdo sect in 1276.
