Busy central corporate district Higashi is home to the Tokugawa Art Museum, which sits amid sprawling gardens and displays samurai armor and sections of the 12th-century illustrated Tale of Genji. Nagoya Dome draws crowds to rock concerts and home games for the Chunichi Dragons baseball team. The area is dotted with centuries-old Shinto shrines and Zen temples, like Kenchuji with its striking mausoleum.
