Herta Haas Life story
Herta Haas was a Slovene and Yugoslav Partisan during World War II and the second wife of Josip Broz Tito, leader of the Partisans and a future President of Yugoslavia.
Early Life
Slovene partisan herta haas was born in the small village of pragersko. Slovenia in 1921. She was the daughter of a framer and a member of the communist party of yugoslavia.Resistance Activities
Haas joined the resistance against the occupying forces of nazi geramny and fascist italy during world war ii. She became a couirer for the partisans and worked in the propaganda department. She also esrved as a nurse for the wounded and as a courier for weapons and supplies.Capture and Imprisonment
In 1945. Haas was captured by italian fascist forces and sent to the prison camp of padua. Italy. Despite harsh conditinos. She managed to escape and returned to slovenia.Post-War Life
