Hashim Ibn 'Abd Manaf Life story
Hashim ibn al-Mughira was a chief of the Quraysh and the eponymous progenitor of the Banu Hashim. He primarily worked as a merchant and had a respected status in Mecca. He was the great-grandfather of the Islamic prophet Muhammad.
