Harold G. Bowen Sr. Life story
Harold Gardiner Bowen Sr. was a United States Navy Vice admiral, former head of the Office of Naval Research and a mechanical engineer. He was the recipient of the Distinguished Service Medal and he was the namesake of USS Bowen.
