Hamza Ibn Abdul-Muttalib Life story
Ḥamzah ibn ʿAbdul-Muṭṭalib was a foster brother, companion and paternal uncle of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad. His kunyas were "Abū ʿUmārah" and "Abū Yaʿlā". He had the by-names Asad Allāh and Asad al-Jannah, and Muhammad gave him the posthumous title Sayyid ash-Shuhadāʾ.
