About Hachinohe
Hachinohe is a city on the northeast coast of Japan's Honshu island. The Korekawa Site has relics from the prehistoric Jōmon culture. Nejo Castle is a restored 14th-century complex. Kushihiki Hachimangu Shrine dates from the early Edo period. Kabushima Island is a breeding area for black-tailed gulls and has a red shrine. A trail runs along the Tanesashi Coast to Osuka Beach, past the curved bay of Shirahama Beach.
