Guillermo Moncada Life story
Guillermo Moncada was one of 29 Cuban generals in the Cuban War of Independence. He was born in Santiago on June 25, 1841. A former carpenter, he later became a black folk hero, renowned for ending the business of slavehunter Miguel Pérez Céspedes.
