Grigory Shelikhov Life story
Grigory Ivanovich Shelekhov was a Russian seafarer, merchant and fur trader. Starting in 1775, Shelekhov organized voyages of merchant ships to the Kuril Islands and the Aleutian Islands, in what is now Alaska, for fur trading.
