About Great Reed Warbler
The great reed warbler is a Eurasian passerine in the genus Acrocephalus. The genus name Acrocephalus is from Ancient Greek akros, "highest", and kephale, "head". It is possible that Naumann and Naumann thought akros meant "sharp-pointed".
