Grazio Mario Forgione Life story
Grazio Forgione was a peasant farmer in the small town of Pietrelcina in Campania, Italy and the father of St. Padre Pio. He traveled to the United States and worked for several years to raise money to pay for his son Francesco's private tutored education for entry into the Capuchin Order as a brother and then friar.
