Gil Steinke Life story
Gilbert Erwin Steinke was an American football player and coach. He served as the head football coach of at Texas A&I University—now known as Texas A&M University–Kingsville—from 1954 to 1976 after having played at Texas A&I and then professionally in the National Football League for the Philadelphia Eagles.
