Gheorghe Dijmarescu

Gheorghe Dijmărescu was a Romanian-American known for escaping from the Romanian dictator Nicolae Ceaușescu by swimming across Danube river, and for his mountaineering expeditions including summiting Mount Everest multiple times in the early 2000s.
