George William Tolkien Life story
George William Tolkien (1805 – 1877) was the oldest of eleven children of George Tolkien (1784 - 1840) and Eliza Lydia Murrell (1787 - 1863). His younger brother, John Benjamin Tolkien (1807 – 1896), the second oldest of the siblings, was the grandfather of J.R.R. Tolkien.
