George Sphrantzes Life story
George Sphrantzes, also Phrantzes or Phrantza, was a late Byzantine Greek historian and Imperial courtier. He was an attendant to Emperor Manuel II Palaiologos, protovestiarites under John VIII Palaiologos, and a close confidant to Constantine XI Palaiologos.
