George Pearkes Life story
Major-General George Randolph Pearkes, VC, CC, CB, DSO, MC, CD, PC was a Canadian politician and soldier. He was a recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest award for gallantry in the face of the enemy awarded to British and Imperial forces; and the 20th lieutenant governor of British Columbia.
