George Newton, 1st Baron Eltisley Life story
George Douglas Cochrane Newton, 1st Baron Eltisley, KBE was a Conservative Party politician in the United Kingdom. He was appointed High Sheriff of Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire for 1909. Following the First World War, he joined the Rural Reconstruction in the Department of the Ministry of Reconstruction.
