George Hope Verney Life story
George Hope Lloyd-Verney (March 5, 1842 - June 14, 1896) was a game designer and army veteran from Esher, England. Around 1881, he wrote a booklet on his invention of the game Four-Player Chess, although there were earlier variants and have been later variants of the game.
