George H. Browne Life story
George Huntington Browne was a U. S. Representative from Rhode Island. Born in Glocester, Rhode Island, Browne attended the public schools and was graduated from Brown University in 1840. He studied law. He was admitted to the bar in 1843 and commenced practice in Providence, Rhode Island.
