George Goldthwaite Life story
George Goldthwaite was a U. S. senator from the state of Alabama. He served in the Senate from March 4, 1871 to March 4, 1877, and did not run for reelection. He was a native of Boston, Massachusetts. He succeeded William P. Chilton as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Alabama in 1856.
